Q. Why would I want to become a registered user?
A. By registering, you will be able to access all of the personalized features on the My CE page, including statistics about the courses you have taken, a calendar of upcoming events, and more.

Q. When I register, do I have to enter my Credit Card information?
A. No, you do not have to enter your credit card upon registration. The only reason for this option is to make your test taking process quicker and easier.

Q. What happens when I pass a test?
A. When you pass a test, you will know right away. The number of correct answers will be displayed on the screen along with your score. Your credit card is also processed at that exact moment. You will receive notification via e-mail that you have passed a specific test, and you will also receive a certificate of credit online if you are an optometrist, and in the mail if you are an optician.

Q. What happens when I fail a test?
A. When you fail a test, you will know right away. The number of correct answers will be displayed on the screen along with your score. Your credit card is also processed at that exact moment. You will receive notification via e-mail that you have failed a specific test, but you will NOT receive via regular mail a Notice of Failure.

Q. Do I have to login each time I visit the site, is there an easier way?
A. No. When you go to the Login screen, you will see a check box labeled Remember Me that, when checked, will log you in automatically on return visits. You will never have to login again.

Q. I always use the same payment information for each test, do I have to see that confirmation page each time I take a test?
A. If you don't want to enter payment information every time you take a test, you can enable Quick Tests. By enabling Quick Tests, payment information that you stored in your Personal Profile will be used for every test that you take. (you can enable/disable the Quick Tests option in your Personal Profile)

Q. What are the discussion forums for?
A. The Discussion Forum is used to discuss, debate or argue any topic related to the optical profession. Feel free to seek advice, or answer questions, from your colleagues.

Q. What is the calendar for on the MyCE page?
A. The calendar is a tool that will have a comprehensive list of upcoming continuing education events of interest to you. Just click on any highlighted day and you will see a list of events.

Q. What is the Average User Rating on the test introduction page?
A. That is the average rating that users have given that test after they have taken it. At the end of each test, you are able to rate it, 1 star being poor and 5 stars being great.

Q. What is the best browser to use when visiting the website?
A. We recommend that you use the lastest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer (5.5 or greater) or Netscape Navigator (6.1 or greater). The website will function under most of the different browsers, but some of the more advanced features (like Live Online Support) work best in the latest versions.
